AGAINST REFUSAL OF VISA BY EMBASSY OF ITALY:
To appeal against a refusal of a family reunion visa for Italy, you must file an appeal with the Regional Administrative Court (T.A.R.) of Lazio within 60 days of receiving the refusal notification, and crucially, you must do so through an Italian lawyer as only they are authorized to represent you in such appeals before the court; you cannot appeal personally
Only the Italian lawyers can appeal your refusal, you cannot appeal personally and the foreign lawyers are not authorized to appeal the Italian refusals.
If the Italian Administrative Court (TAR – Tribunale Amministrativo Regionale) rejects your appeal, your next option is to file an “extraordinary appeal” to the Italian Council of State (Consiglio di Stato) within 120 days of the notification of the TAR decision, but it is highly recommended to consult with an Italian lawyer to assess the viability of this further appeal and to properly navigate the process.
